ECF Schools Chess Award

The school was recently awarded the ECF Schools Chess Award for its contribution to the promotion of chess in schools. This is a highly prestigious award and we are only one of four schools nationally to recieve it. Thanks must go to all the staff at St William of York and all our Chess Tutors. We started this journey over 13 years ago with the Chess Trust and chess is now very firmly embedded throughout the curriculum in Key Stage 2.
