Please find some useful information about the school day below and our Early Years Foundation Stage

Reception Opening Times

We  encourage all our children to enter the classroom independently by waving goodbye at the front door.The children can arrive from 8.40am, ready for the school day to begin with registration at 8.45am.

End of the school day.

Feel free to speak to any members of staff when you collect your child at the end of each day. Please  ensure that you let the class teacher know or contact the school office if your child is going home with another adult. (Safeguarding procedures require this instruction) 

Snack and Baking 

We offer a variety of healthy snack options alongside fruit. Milk and water are available throughout the day.

we charge £1.50 per week for snack and baking ingredients

Uniform

Our uniform consists of the school’s  jogging suit with a white polo shirt and black pumps/shoes.No laces or buckles please.

Please label your child's school uniform including shoes/pumps so we can identify lost items quickly. 

Spare Clothing

Please provide some spare clothing in a bag should your child need to be changed.This does not need to be a school uniform.

Book bags

Book bags should be clearly named and must come to school every day. (They can be purchased from the school office) We use them for sending drawings, letters,reading books and homework home. 

Homework

Homework in Reception will be to encourage reading for 5 minutes every day.On Friday’s a maths activity or an activity related to our current learning may be sent home.

Library books

All children will be encouraged to develop a love of stories and books to read for pleasure.They will have the opportunity to select their own story book to bring home to share with you.Each book must be returned before another book can be chosen.

PE

P.E kit for Reception is a white t.shirt , purple shorts and black pumps.

These may be kept in a clearly named drawstring bag on their coat peg.
